1) Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Thakur inaugurated the Sports Science Centre at M.G. Stadium in Udupi, Karnataka.

This Sports Science Centre will bring together sports scientists and athletes.


2) The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) Headquarter in New Delhi has won the prestigious GRIHA Exemplary Performance Award 2022, a top national level Green Building Award.

GRIHA (Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment) is a national rating system for green buildings in India.


3) Gaganyaan, India’s first human space mission, is set to launch in 2024.

The unmanned ‘G1 mission’ will launch in the fourth quarter of 2023, the second unmanned ‘G2 mission’ will launch in the second quarter of 2024, and the final human space flight ‘H1 mission’ will launch in the fourth quarter of 2024.


4) The eighth edition of the three-day Tamil Nadu International Balloon Festival (TNIBF) will begin at Pollachi in Coimbatore district on January 13, 2023.

This year, hot air balloons will come from Brazil, Canada, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, France, Thailand, Vietnam and the United Kingdom.


5) Geta Sora, a rising star in badminton, won the under-9 category of the Top Arena Junior International Badminton Championship in Malaysia, bringing honor to Arunachal and the nation as a whole.


6) The Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas organized a unique one-day event, called “Dance to Decarbonise”, where renewable energy generated through dance was used to charge electric vehicles.


7) Chief Justice of India D Y Chandrachud has constituted a committee headed by apex court judge Justice S Ravindra Bhat to conduct an audit of “physical and functional access” of the top court premises to make them disabled friendly.


8) Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the 75th Amrut Mahotsav of Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul Rajkot Sansthan via video-conferencing.


09) With 132.34 metric tonnes of gold purchase, RBI emerged as the largest buyer of the yellow metal among central banks between April 2020 and September 2022


10) Union minister Jitendra Singh launched a revamped probity portal and e-HRMS 2.0 portal for central government employees.

The revamped e-HRMS 2.0 portal will provide services in a digital mode to the employees.
The Minister also launched Mobile Application of iGoT Karmayogi Portal by Karmayogi Bharat (SPV) with an aim to create professional, well trained and future ready civil service for India.


11) An upgraded Inner Line Permit (ILP) System portal has been launched by Chief Minister N. Biren Singh in Manipur.

The upgraded portal has been launched considering the importance of saving indigenous population of the State and also for the convenience of visitors from outside the State for applying ILP.


12) The wildlife and religious theme tableau of Uttarakhand has been awarded the top prize at this year’s Republic Day parade on Kartavya Path.

Indian Army’s Punjab Regiment has been adjudged the best marching contingent among the three services.

Gujarat’s tableau emerged as the numero uno in the popular choice segment.
